As the year winds down, it’s the perfect time to look back on all the highlights and milestones that made 2024 unforgettable. At MadeYou, it’s been a year packed with big wins, personal growth, and team achievements. From exciting client projects and inspiring conferences to welcoming new faces and exploring new opportunities, it’s been a whirlwind of proud moments and memorable experiences. Here’s what stood out to the team this year:
Oh my, what a year it has been for MadeYou! We’re already booking well into 2025, and 2024 isn’t even over yet! This year has been about resetting, reflecting, and growing — guided by my new mantra: Be Curious, Be Bold, Be Proactive.
One of my favourite moments? Filming the MadeYou videos. It was a day filled with fun, collaboration, and a sense of transition as we stepped up from being a small business to a powerhouse partner company. The team video and outtakes are my favourites — they show just how amazing our team is. Special shoutout to Erika for weaving these videos into our recruitment process, which helped us welcome the fantastic LJ into the fold to support our ongoing growth.
We also made waves at conferences. At the Next Summit HR Connect track, where Vanessa, Alex, and I delivered a focused, impactful experience. And at the HRCoreAcademy, where my keynote was well-received, and the conversations at our stand were inspiring. Another highlight was reconnecting with Gentoo. Supporting them as they take bold steps forward has been immensely rewarding, and I can’t wait for another Copenhagen visit soon!
Mexico was another adventure—a leadership offsite that proved you don’t need London’s high costs to create transformative experiences. The jetlag was worth it for the focused, impactful sessions we delivered.
This year also saw our largest bespoke delivery yet: training 160 Clever Advertising staff across Portugal on Creative Negotiation Skills. The energy, engagement, and feedback were phenomenal.
As we move into 2025, I’m thrilled by how well our new UK, non-gaming clients are responding to us. Our team’s impact across industries is proof of our versatility and strength. Here’s to more collaborative success next year!
2024 — what a whirlwind of a year! When I sit down to reflect, it’s clear there have been so many positives, incredible experiences, and challenges to learn from. Meeting and working with new clients to help develop their leaders and managers has been a highlight and it’s been an absolute blast.
It’s been amazing to see so many businesses embracing the value of team-building days. These days not only bring teams together outside the workplace but also provide them with actionable takeaways they can implement back in the office. It’s particularly special when clients book next year’s session with you before this one’s even over — it’s the ultimate sign that what we’re doing works.
This year has also taken me to some fantastic places for coaching, training, and conferences. I’ve travelled to Cyprus, Amsterdam, London, France, and Portugal, with Stockholm and Dubai already in the diary for 2025!
Cyprus was a standout for me. Working with SiGMA’s management team to deliver a series of training sessions was such a memorable experience. What really stuck with me was how much their managers wanted to immerse themselves in the MadeYou experience—not just for their own development, but to truly understand the sessions their leaders would attend later in the year in Malta. It challenged me in the best way, navigating cultural nuances and different perspectives. Bringing that training to their leaders in Malta later on was equally rewarding — it’s so satisfying when a team genuinely embraces what you’re teaching.
As I look ahead, Q4 is packed to the brim, and Q1 of 2025 is already shaping up to be just as busy. I’m saying goodbye to 2024 with a full heart and excitement for what’s to come.
On a personal note, I’m thrilled to be starting my ICF-accredited Postgraduate Certificate in Business and Personal Coaching soon. I love the idea of continuing to grow and develop myself, just as I help others to do the same.

This year, we had one of my favourite team events ever: Lights, Camera, Action! Back in March, we spent an entire day at the Vsquared studio, and let me tell you, it was like getting the “celebrity treatment.” From the makeup chair to the bright lights—it was all so surreal! Like the others, I was a bit nervous at first, but it was the good kind of nervous. I genuinely loved every second of filming day. And the final results? Oh my! The talented (and patient) team at Vsquared absolutely nailed it, delivering exactly what we were looking for. In my clip, I was asked about my favourite MadeYou memory. If you were to ask me that same question again now, I’d say filming day would top the list!
It seems my “on-camera debut” went so well that Luke spotted another opportunity: delivering a short presentation to a live audience at the MadeYou 10th Birthday Party. Once again, I was beyond excited! Firstly, I got a taste of what it’s like to help organise an event of this scale. It was a true team effort, everyone had their own tasks to carry out to create an unforgettable evening. Secondly, as someone who isn’t client-facing, I don’t often get to meet the people we work with. Finally putting faces to names and meeting some of our most loyal clients was so refreshing. And to top it all off, I had a mini-reunion with an ex-MadeYou colleague, Ruben, who graciously agreed to photograph the event for us.
The birthday party also served as a soft launch for our new MadeYou website and services directed at top management: madeyou.co.uk. We announced that our business is expanding to the UK in 2024, and just a few weeks later, the website went live! This project involved so much collaboration. Diane worked her magic to build the new site, Luke shared his vision for the services, Kylee refined the web copy, Jason created some incredible new monsters for us, and somehow, it all came together into one cohesive website.
Fast forward to October, and suddenly, I was on my first-ever work travel trip! I’m so grateful to have had the chance to attend the HRcoreAcademy Summit in Amsterdam. It was an incredible opportunity to see how this conference differed from those I’ve attended in Malta. I learned so much about what works, what doesn’t, and what we can do differently next time. It was also fantastic to spend time with Richard and Luke during the two-day conference – the OG trio!
As I reflect on my year with MadeYou, I can’t help but feel a sense of accomplishment and progress. It’s been a year filled with challenges, learning, and unforgettable experiences that have shaped me both personally and professionally.
One of my biggest achievements this year has been fully embracing the role of a trainer—not just in title, but with heart and practice. Each training session has brought something new: fresh faces, unique dynamics, and exciting opportunities to make a lasting impact. Whether I’m meeting new people or reconnecting with familiar ones, I love adding a personal touch to every course. The energy in the room, the shared stories, and the collective growth constantly remind me why I’m so passionate about what I do.
This year, I also reconnected with my roots in customer service by creating two training decks: the “Empathy” deck and the “Wow the Customer” deck. This wasn’t just another task to tick off the list. It was a meaningful opportunity to channel my experience into something valuable. It went beyond writing scenarios or designing slides; it was about reflecting on my own customer service journey and recalling the challenges and moments that made a difference. I thought about how the customer feels, what they need, and how to translate that into lessons others can learn from.
Fully stepping into my responsibilities wasn’t an overnight transformation. It took time, like a horse finding its footing, before breaking into a stride. This journey has been one of continuous learning, not just about the role but also about myself and the person I want to become.
As Q4 rolled around, I thought things might calm down. Instead, it turned out to be one of the busiest times yet! With back-to-back training and coaching sessions every day, I found myself thriving on the challenge. Helping others grow and become the best versions of themselves is so fulfilling. It keeps me excited about what’s to come.
I’m looking forward to new opportunities with MadeYou in 2025 and can’t wait to see what lies ahead.
It’s been a brilliant end to 2024 for me. I’m so proud to have joined the MadeYou team at the beginning of October, and what a fantastic journey it has been since!
I was lucky enough to spend my first week in the business in Malta, trading the chilly and grey skies of London for much brighter weather. Meeting the MadeYou team and spending a full day together was such a wonderful experience. It gave me the chance to learn more about everyone and to dive into discussions about the busy months ahead. I already knew we had a lot of coaching and training clients, but that meeting truly highlighted just how much value we’re providing as a company. It’s such an honour to be part of this journey.
Since then, I’ve had the pleasure of seeing some of the incredible training we offer, both in person and in virtual spaces. I love how each session is bespoke, insightful, and engaging, with plenty of fun elements included. It really makes the learning journey so much more enjoyable and impactful.
Working with so many dynamic and diverse clients this year has been a real highlight. Coaching and helping others develop is a true passion of mine, and it’s so inspiring to see the growth in the people I’ve worked with. One of my proudest achievements this year has been becoming a certified Gallup coach. The experience was made even more special by completing my training in the stunning London Shard. This certification has added so much to my toolkit for executive coaching and development, and I can’t wait to use it to make an even greater impact.
Looking ahead, I’m excited to continue building our UK client base in my role here in London. 2025 is shaping up to be an amazing year, and I can’t wait to see what it brings!
And just like that, another amazing year has come to an end! And what a year it’s been! From exciting new projects to welcoming new team members, 2024 has been packed with challenges and accomplishments.
Looking back, it’s hard to know where to start. As a designer, I’ve had the chance to work on so many incredible projects that I’d need way more space to mention them all! That said, one of the highlights for me has been creating the newest additions to the MadeYou monster family. Designing these little characters specifically for our new UK website has been such a fun process, and I can’t wait to see them come to life in new designs and merchandise.
This year has also been extra exciting because I’ve ventured into something completely new: motion design. Exploring how to animate graphics for our annual travel map felt like stepping into a whole new creative world. I’ve always loved working with our adorable family of monsters, but learning how to animate them has got me buzzing with excitement for the possibilities ahead. I can’t wait to bring them to life!
All in all, I’m so grateful to be part of an amazing team that makes MadeYou what it is. Here’s to all the new experiences and opportunities 2025 will bring!
As I approach my second year at MadeYou, I find myself reflecting on the incredible journey I’ve had so far. It’s been an exciting time, and I’ve truly settled into my role here.
One of the standout moments this year was organising MadeYou’s 10th birthday party at The Embassy Hotel in Valletta. What a fantastic evening! Celebrating a decade of MadeYou with the team was such a special experience. The atmosphere was electric, and it was heartwarming to see everyone come together to mark this significant milestone.
Another highlight was working on our Vsquared videos as a team. This project was not only a lot of fun but also a wonderful way to express our creativity together. The memories we made during the process will stay with me for a long time. Sharing laughs along the way and then seeing the final results was such a rewarding experience.
I also had the opportunity to organise merchandise for the Next.io conference. Attending the event was incredibly rewarding, and seeing our merchandise become such a hit was a proud moment for me.
This past year has been a perfect blend of growth and celebration. I’m excited about what lies ahead at MadeYou and can’t wait to continue this journey with such an amazing team. Here’s to more adventures and achievements in the future!
